Acting Principal’s farewell
Dear Parents and Carers
I have written many letters to parents and carers during my career, but this is without doubt the most difficult of them all.
It is with great sadness that I leave Wheatfield Primary and Nursery School as I will not be returning in January.
I have had the most rewarding experience as Acting Principal in Wheatfield. The pupils have impressed me with their helpfulness and manners. I have enjoyed visiting the Nursery, the Little Stars Room, the Rainbow Room, and all the classrooms. We have enjoyed singing in Assembly and in the Choir. We worked hard preparing for our Carol Service and I want to thank you for attending and supporting the school.
I have a dedicated staff team that I have loved working with. They all work extremely hard to give the best they can to our pupils. There is a real energy in the school, and it has been a joy to come into work each day. I have been so pleased to hear so many staff tell me that they really enjoy working in Wheatfield.
I have also been supported by a leadership team who saw my vision and worked so well with me. During my time here I have been delighted to have so many new Learning Support Assistants join the school. An excellent team has been built. Well done!
Mrs Christine Elwood. has been a member of Wheatfield’s staff team for 19 years. Christine, enjoy retirement, we will miss you very much.
To Miss Robinson, our P2 teacher, we send our congratulations on the birth of Riadh, your beautiful daughter. We also send our Warmest wishes and congratulations to Miss Dempsey for her forthcoming wedding.
Mrs McDonald and Mr Moreland are superstars who have supported me every day.
Although I am sad to be leaving, I wish Mr Lister all the best, as he leads the school going forward.
I will truly miss you all.
