P4 have really enjoyed learning about World War 2.
We have made ID cards and ration books, listened to music from the 1940s and talked about how different music makes us feel. We drew our own propaganda posters, painted pictures of the Belfast Blitz and looked at how Belfast has changed over the years. Today, we learned about evacuees, children who had to leave the cities for the safety of the countryside. P4 worked on comprehensions about evacuees this morning and then had great fun exploring an evacuees suitcase. Some of our children tried on the child's gas mask and played with their toys !
