Mr McManus' Last Day
Today is a sad but happy day for everyone at Wheatfield as it is Mr McManus' last day as he takes on a post in another school.
Over the past year, Mr McManus has worked tirelessly with groups of children from P1 - P7 to develop their skills in Numeracy through our ENGAGE programme. This work has contributed to fantastic success for those pupils working with Mr McManus. On top of this, Mr McManus worked with a group of children, using a Nurture approach to develop their social and emotional awareness skills.
The saying "Not All Superheroes Wear Capes" is very fitting as Mr McManus' passion was developing children's enthusiasm and skills in P.E.
Lastly, Mr McManus taught our P7 class one day each week for the past year and taught the children vital life skills such as conflict resolution and expressing empathy. P7s love Mr McManus and there is no doubt the advice and support he provided will follow them for the rest of their lives.
Mr McManus will be missed by all the children and staff at Wheatfield. We wish him every success for the future.
