P7 - Fun in the Sun
Our P7 class recently enjoyed a delightful day of outdoor learning, taking full advantage of the sunny weather. The children were thrilled to leave the classroom behind and immerse themselves in nature while continuing their studies.
The focus of the day was on homophones – words that sound the same but have different meanings and spellings. The pupils participated in a variety of engaging activities designed to help them understand and use homophones correctly. They worked in pairs and small groups, exploring the school grounds and finding creative ways to illustrate the homophones they learned.
From drawing pictures to acting out scenes, the children demonstrated their understanding in fun and imaginative ways. The fresh air and sunshine added an extra layer of excitement and energy to their learning experience.
This outdoor learning day was a wonderful success, combining education with the joy of being outside. The children not only deepened their knowledge of homophones but also developed their teamwork and communication skills. We look forward to more sunny days of learning in the future!
